COVID Information 2022-23
August 5, 2022
In consultation with the Oldham County Health Department, Oldham County Schools will continue with a mask optional policy for all students, staff, and visitors in school/district buildings and on buses.
A student who tests positive for COVID-19, with or without symptoms, must isolate for five days with day one being the day after the onset of symptoms (or day of the positive test in the case of an asymptomatic positive).
The student may return to school on day 6 with improved symptoms. The student is recommended to wear a well-fitted mask for days 6-10. Make-up work will be provided per board policy for excused absences.
Individuals who are in close contact with a person who tests positive are not required to quarantine, but are encouraged to monitor closely for symptoms. OCS will not be contacting tracing at this time, and will not post individual school or district-wide case counts weekly to the website.
The district will review Kentucky’s COVID-19 data and consult with the Oldham County Health Department as needed.
School nurses are available at each school to address specific questions and offer assistance as needed.
