Title I Services

Last Updated: 3/7/2019 8:35 PM

Based on current performance data, some students receive Title I Services, which include individualized, small-group reading or math instruction during the school day.  Students are assessed in all areas of reading and math, and these assessments are used to determine which specific areas of reading or math students will receive services.  The instruction will include at least thirty minutes of intense and engaging activities three days each week, focused on specific skills within a small group setting. This service will be provided by one of Camden’s certified Title 1 teachers.

This instruction is in addition to what students receive in the whole-class reading or math workshop.  The goal of this additional time is to improve students' overall reading or math performance.  Progress will be monitored frequently and instruction adjusted to support continuous progress.  Termination or progression of these Title 1 services will be determined by the amount of progress your child makes over time.

A full report of students' performance and progress in the classroom can be explained at any time.  If you have any questions prior to a conference time or if you do not wish for your child to participate in the Title 1 program, please contact your child’s teacher.
