OCMS Timeline  

1967 - Oldham County Junior High opened with grades 7, 8 and 9

1973 - OCMS (grades 7 and 8 only) was established and moved into the building
            previously used by OCHS

         - Blue and white were selected as school colors

         - Little Colonel was chosen as mascot

1977 - OCMS (still only grades 7 and 8) moved into current building located on
            Highway 146 in Buckner, KY

1978 - Sixth graders from Liberty Elementary join OCMS

1979 - Redistricting brought 6th graders from Centerfield, LaGrange and Liberty 
           Elementary schools to OCMS

2014 - OCMS underwent a complete renovation and redesign adding the band and 
           chorus suite, bringing the look and function of the school into the 21st Century
